The Gringo helmet, which was introduced a decade ago, has been a top choice among modern bike riders. The latest iteration of this classic full-face helmet now meets the more robust European Union's ECE R22.06 safety standards, providing a higher level of rider protection.
The helmet's outer shell is made of injection-molded ABS, which is lightweight and highly resistant to impacts. The internal safety shell is composed of a new Dual Density expanded polystyrene (EPS) design, which absorbs and dissipates impact energy without compromising comfort.
The molded urethane chin bar pad is engineered to dissipate energy during front impact. The chin strap features brushed fleece Lycra touchpoints for comfort, and a D-ring retention system with a red quick-release pull tab for speedy removal.
The removable and replaceable comfort liner and cheek pads are constructed with fleece Lycra and open-cell foam padding to absorb and evaporate perspiration, ensuring a comfortable ride. The new BioFoam head form panel and ventilated polyester padding maximize airflow around the rider's head, maintaining coolness and comfort.
Additionally, the helmet is designed with molded EPS ear pockets that can accommodate select aftermarket audio accessories. The Gringo helmet is US DOT FMVSS No. 218 compliant and ECE R22.06 certified, ensuring it meets the highest safety standards.
