The Gringo, our classic full-face helmet, has been a top choice among modern bike riders for over a decade since its introduction. To provide riders with a higher level of protection, the latest iteration of the Gringo now meets the more robust European Union's ECE R22.06 safety standards.
The helmet's lightweight and highly impact-resistant outer shell is injection-molded using ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic. The internal safety shell features a new Dual Density expanded polystyrene (EPS) construction, which absorbs and dissipates impact energy without compromising comfort.
The molded urethane chin bar pad is designed to dissipate energy during front-impact collisions. The chin strap is equipped with brushed fleece Lycra touchpoints for enhanced comfort, and a D-ring retention system with a red quick-release pull tab for speedy removal.
Rider comfort is further enhanced by the removable and replaceable comfort liner and cheek pads, which are constructed with fleece Lycra and open-cell foam padding to absorb and evaporate perspiration. The new BioFoam head form panel and ventilated polyester padding work together to maximize airflow around the rider's head, ensuring coolness and comfort.
The Gringo helmet is also equipped with molded EPS ear pockets, allowing riders to integrate select aftermarket audio accessories. Additionally, the helmet is US DOT FMVSS No. 218 compliant and ECE R22.06 certified, ensuring it meets the highest safety standards.
