Biltwell GS Shields: Enhanced Protection and Clarity

Replacement shields for Biltwell GS helmets come in two distinct styles - bubble or flat - crafted through injection molding with highly scratch- and impact-resistant polycarbonate thermoplastic. Our latest Gen-2 shields are designed to fit all Biltwell GS models, thanks to an all-new baseplate kit. These baseplates feature an improved mechanism that delivers firmer detents for three open positions, ensuring a secure fit. Additionally, an anti-fog treatment is applied to the shield's interior, combating moisture buildup from breathing and humidity for maximum optical clarity.

CONSTRUCTION: The shields boast an injection-molded, scratch- and impact-resistant polycarbonate thermoplastic construction, providing superior durability and protection. A nickel-plated stainless-steel snap securely fastens the shield to the helmet shell, ensuring a reliable connection.

SAFETY: Every shield color and style offers exceptional UV protection, blocking 91% of UVA and 99% of UVB light, in accordance with the AATCC-138 test standard.

STYLE: The colored shields incorporate in-mold tint technology, while the mirrored shields feature a reflective coating in a variety of surface finishes to reduce glare and enhance the visual appeal.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE: To clean the shield, use a mild soapy water solution and a microfiber cloth to gently remove bugs and road debris, then dry it with a clean microfiber towel. Avoid using harsh household or petroleum-based chemicals, as they can damage the shield's specialized coatings. If the retainer snap becomes tight or sticky, apply a drop of general-purpose light household oil to the inside. When reinstalling the shield, apply a drop of medium-strength blue thread-locker to the threads of both hinge screws.

FITMENT: It's important to note that these shields are not compatible with the new ECE R22.06 Gringo S and Gringo SV helmets, as the closure mechanism on those models has been updated.
